work safety

In order to avoid accidents and maintained the safety and health while you work in the lab, basic rules should be obeyed. The following description of the basic rules of laboratory work in chemistry laboratories in particular.

1. Clean up spilled chemicals immediately.

2. Forbidden to eat or drink while in the laboratory room.

3. No smoking in the laboratory room.

4. Do not be running around in a space laboratory.

5. Do not put bags and other items on the floor of the laboratory and on-site walk.

6. Wear personal protective equipment for the laboratory include:

    - Glasses / goggles safety and aesthetic use stemmed. Select and confirm the optical glass in spectacles in good condition.

     -lab coat

     -Use a face shield when working for a material that is explosive and very dangerous.

     -Wear long pants.

     -Wear shoes covered to ankle

     respirators, masks, or with which can be used when working with corrosive and poisonous             gas.

     -Gloves

7. Always use a pipette filler, and avoid direct contact with the mouth.

8. Not using the former site of packaging food / beverage to store chemicals.

9. Always label / information on chemical storage.

10. Do not experiment beyond the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).

11. Always use a flow indicator when using water cooling.

12. If power outages, cooling water and electricity available reserves should be ensured.

13. Always fill burette below eye level

14. Always note the hazard categories of chemicals used.

15. Do not work alone in the laboratory

16. Do not leave unfinished work in the laboratory

17. Recognizing the nature of each chemical substance

18. Do not damage the equipment in the laboratory

19. Wash equipment before and after use

20. Wash your hands while doing the job
